A five week course starts June 9, 2008. Ends July 14, 2008.

Introduction:  This course focuses on the proper repair and refinishing of automobiles to industry standards.
Objectives:   At the end of this class you will be able to:

  • Follow DuPont refinish safety procedures

  • Be compliant for Rule 1151

  • Utilize DuPont aerosol cleaners

  • Utilize DuPont aerosol primers 

  • Refinish with DuPont primers and sealers

  • Refinish with DuPont single stage paint

  • Refinish with DuPont waterborne base coat

  • Refinish with DuPont clear coats

Product Data Sheets will be downloaded from the Internet to create a notebook.
Evaluation: 

This course will be based on the following criteria,

  • Attendance and lab participation 30% of final grade
  • SP2 Safety Certification 10% of final grade
  • Worksheet assignments 10% of final grade
  • DuPont Tests 40% of final grade
  • Notebook 10% of final grade

Final Grades will be based on the following percentages

                            100 - 90 = A

                              89 - 80 = B

                              79 - 70 = C

                              69 - 60 = D

                              59 - 0   = F
