Alumni News
Adam Nguyen, a Los Angeles Trade-Tech graduate, opened a new body shop in Lynnwood, Washington. Lynnwood is a suburb of Seattle. His Grand Opening celebration was held Saturday October 6. Adam named his shop Speedway Collision Center. His motto is “Do it the Speedway- Right the first time”. Many industry representatives along with family and friends, including myself attended the celebration. It was not hard to see that this shop will become a huge success. Adam’s great reputation is well known throughout the business community. He is also getting help from his business partner , Hugo Cano. Hugo is a great asset to the shop. He has excellent office and shop management skills. This shop is highly computerized. Good Luck Guys!

About Adam Nguyen
Quang Adam Nguyen was born in Vietnam. He was sponsored to America by his now new American family. He attended Los Angeles Trade-Technical College in 1986 trough 1987. He was an outstanding student and high achiever. He took to industry well and immediately became successful working in a downtown body shop. When he married and decided to have children he moved to Seattle. I had no problem placing him in a shop there. The rest is history. Now he is an owner of a very nice body shop.

DuPont Partners in Quality
Adam’s Trade-Tech education is reflected throughout Speedway Collision Center. He has stayed with the companies that support our college. He has chosen DuPont as his paint refinishing system. He is using Dupont’s ColorNet software that contains over 200,000 paint formulas. He is using this in conjunction with the DuPont Master Tint toner bank. I am proud to see that our partnership with DuPont is being carried out into industry. Many people have worked hard to accomplish this goal. Thank you.

Chief Automotive Systems
Another fantastic feature of Speedway Collision Center is their frame equipment. Once again Adam has chosen a big Trade-Tech supporter, Chief Automotive Systems. He purchased two frame machines along with their top of the line computerized laser beam frame measuring system, Velocity.

Thank You,
